Problem-solution essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words
Problem-solution - Essay Example Their behavior was a result of the severe psychological problems developed in result of unfriendly treatment by their classmates. The tragedy occurred with David and Paul is not just a unique case that should be recognized as an accident. However, this accident could have been avoided if both boys had enough proper parental care, if there were developed effective social programs against income and racial inequalities; and government bodies have restricted the gun control legislation. The accident could have been avoided if both boys had proper parental care and awareness of their sons. Lack of proper parental care was one of the main problems that have caused the tragedy at the public high school, attended by David and Paul. Parents had to try to understand this issue and pay more attention to their children, increase their parental care and awareness. While Paul and David were adolescentsââ¬â¢ age, they needed more attention from the closest people, who would be able to understand their problems. Even though the parents of these teenagers were not directly mentioned in the case, their indirect participation or better to say lack of parental participation in the lives of their children was a critical point. First of all, parents are the people who should listen to their children, support them and help to solve their problems. Considering this parental responsibility, Davidââ¬â¢s and Paulââ¬â¢s parents had to resolve the psychological problems of their s ons by taking effective measures. They could speak by their own with sons, support them and give useful advice, provide them with a psychological support and optimism. If this failed to work, there was an alternative to hire a specially trained psychologist, with experience in working with adolescents. Also, Davidââ¬â¢s and Paulââ¬â¢s parents could take a decision to change school and thus to ââ¬Å"relieveâ⬠boys from the unfriendly social treatment. However, neither David nor Paul

Parents and Education Essay -- Informative, Personal Experience
Throughout my life I have been very lucky; I have a mom that supported me. She was there to drop me off at school, she made sure I had a ride home, she drove me around to countless cross country practice, and she always checked to see if my homework was done. While at the time I might not have realized it, but my mom was instilling in me the importance of school and my education. When my mom helped me through long division and my time tables, she was showing me more than how do divide large numbers, she showed me that be taking time out of her day for me to learn, that education is very important to have and that it is a worthy investment. Since being in college I have gotten the opportunity to meet a lot of people. All of them have their own story. While some people might have had similar upbringings, others had quite different ones. As I continue to meet new people throughout my college career, I always wonder how there upbringing is and how it translates to their school schooling . As I wonder this I cannot help but to ask the question: How does parental involvement affect a childââ¬â¢s educational career? One thing I was always curious about is simply why parents help their kids. While it seems like a very simple question, I think it is a very important one. As Kathleen Hoover-Dempsey et al wrote in a 2001 article in Educational Psychology: ââ¬Å"â⬠¦parents decide to become involved in students' homework because they believe they should be involved, believe their involvement will make a difference, and perceive that their involvement is wanted and expectedâ⬠(206). I think my mom would agree to this statement and her reasoning for helping me would include a majority of the list. Because parents feel that being involved in education is... ...school functions. Children perceive parental guidance as a good thing and enjoy working with parents at home as well as occasional visits to schools. Parents can take advantage of certain strategies that their kids can benefit from. These ultimately lead to better academic society and better behaved kids. As I am looking back on my childhood and early school career I now realize how great of a family I had. The parents that supported me and helped me through school has given me opportunities that might not be had I had less supportive parents. Because of my parentââ¬â¢s dedication to my education, I in turn am able to make education a main focus and a tool to a successful life. This will be a great benefit that I hope parents realize is important. I hope education about parental involvement can be spread so the barriers that slow parental involvement can be stopped. Motivation Theories Essay
The motivation theory that I am in most agreement with would be the Diversity view point. We as humans are motivated by a variety of different things; every individual is unique and has different goals, purposes, perspectives and ways of life for one another. This means that one personââ¬â¢s drive for victory and success will be different from another. The Diversity view makes me believe that it is impossible for individuals to have a small set of basic motivations and needs within their human behavior and experiences. Diversity puts into clear view that everyone has and faces different motivations, drives, needs, goals, perspectives, and purposes for what they want out of life. In modern day people live their life and are determined to better their future from their past. This means that the past that I have already lived is what created the path, walkway, stepping stones for who I want to become in the future and, what I plan on accomplishing in life. I live for this belief beca use it is the reason why I do what I am doing today. The plan that I thought I was destined to take three days ago might have been altered today, and I might have to found a new path to follow. As an adult me and everyone else remembers their childhood this is part of life that cannot be avoided. Later in life when we become parents we might or might not incorporate how we were treated and acted as children into our parenting skills. Often we will use our past experiences to set example to our child why they should or should not do something. This is so that we can teach them the right thing to do in certain situations. As we live our daily lives one day at a time, we tent to piece together our memories of events in our past and develop thoughts of what is soon to come in our future. After discussing Diversity my most agreed motivation theory we get to my least agreed one which is Psychoanalytical. I cannot find a single thing on this motivation theory that I agree with. I believe us as humans are the cause of our own actions, and we should be held at fault for them. I believe individuals have to seize control of their life taking responsibility for their actions. Every action that takes place because of human behavior cannot be determined and know by something we have no control over. We as humans do as we please with developed human behavior because we have no boundaries to stop us (realistic). We are in control of our own life and create our own fate (future). We as individuals chose what we want out of life, and how we will obtain it. There are howeverà unavoidable twist of fates that are created due to another person like murder, car accidents, plane crashes, and exedra. The final claim of my disagreement is we as humans are greedy never satisfied with what we have in life, we always want more. That is what either makes us or breaks us in life thus creating who we are and for what purpose we are that person for.

Concept Comparison and Analysis Across Theories Paper Essay
The core concepts of nursing theories are the building blocks of any nursing theory model, which include the fundamentals views of person, environment, health and nursing. Incorporating the general ideologies of nursing principles and practice, the four concepts display the way nursing examines and treat persons within the nursing continuum. While these four concepts are interdepended with one another, each one stems from the formation of the idea that comes before. These concepts guides nurses in their everyday practices. According to Brilowski and Wendler (2005), nurses embody the ideas as they assess, plan, and deliver care. This paper will identify the core concepts from theorist Jean Watson and Sister Callista Roy, as well as comparing the two theories and how nursingââ¬â¢s implication and application to nursing practice is based on them. Nursing has been based on the practice of delivering care, insuring the welfare of humans and assisting them in meeting their needs whilst providing education on how to care for themselves. Accountability lies with the nursing profession that they promote good health, disease prevention, and providing care to the ill and dying patient. Nursing has been known to be an art as well as a science that is ever evolving. Science, theories and nursing practice has been the foundation to elevating nursing as a profession. Sister Callista Royââ¬â¢s Adaptation Model (RAM) implies that nursing is a scientific discipline that focuses on practice (Andrews & Roy, 1991). RAM describes nursing as the promotion of adaptation and health that involves intervention; the fifth step of the nursing process that describes the best method to support the patient in reaching their goals. According to Andrews and Roy (1991), Royââ¬â¢s nursing objective is ââ¬Å"the promotion of adaptation in each of the four modes, thereby contributing to the personââ¬â¢s health, quality of life and dying withà dignityâ⬠. Nurses need to discover ways to maintain a compassionate practice regardless of the professional difficulties and Jean Watsonââ¬â¢s caring theory is key to obtaining this goal. Jean Watson (1988) shares nursing as a social science of human health and disease experiences adjudicated by scientific, professional, personal, esthetic, and ethical personal care communications. According to Watson (1988), working as an artist is characteristic of the nurseââ¬â¢s role, and is a crucial part of providing care to patients and their families. The goal of nursing is health promotion, disease prevention, caring for the sick and the restoration of health (Watson, 1988). Watson goes on to say that holistic care is crucial to the practice of the caring nurse. Jean Watsonââ¬â¢s Theory of Human Caring also known as The Caring Model has gone through revisions since its origination in 1979. Watsonââ¬â¢s principles of theory are the carative factors, which include the transpersonal caring relationship, and the caring moment (2001). Watson constructed the model in order to define nursing as a well-developed profession, which emphasizes on quality and caring. She proceeds to introduce seven assumptions about the science of caring and theorizes that caring encompasses carative factors with the intent sequel to be fulfilling to specific personal needs, which support s health, and personal/family growth. According to Watson (1988), the science of caring compliments the science of curing in which the practice of caring is fundamental to nursing. According to Watson (2014), transpersonal caring relationships are the foundation and send a ââ¬Å"concern for the inner life world and subjective meaning of another who is fully embodiedâ⬠. Watson (2014), ââ¬Å"transpersonal seeks to connect with and embrace the spirit or soul of the other through the process of caring and healing and being in authentic relation, in the momentâ⬠. Transpersonal caring calls for the nurse to be genuine, and in the moment and have the ability to focus on caring, healing and wholeness rather than on the disease and illness (Watson, 2014). The link between nursing and caring can heal due to increased knowledge, experience and purposeful contact. This contact describes how the nurse transcends a neutral evaluation, and the expression of interest towards an individualââ¬â¢s personal and profound essence relating to his/her own personal health. According to Watson (2001) the providing person and the person receiving care connect in support of pursuing meaning, wholeness, and possibly for the spiritualà existence of suffering. The focus of transpersonal caring is to conserve, improve, and sustain the morality of an individualââ¬â¢s humanism, integrity and tranquility. Watson uses the carative factors as a standard for nursingââ¬â¢s concentration and applies the expression carative factors to differentiate from traditional medicineââ¬â¢s curative factors. The emphasis of her carative factors is to ââ¬Å"honor the social dimensions of nursingââ¬â¢s work and the inner life world and subjective experiences of the people we serveâ⬠(Watson, 1997b). ââ¬Å"Whereas curative factors aim at curing the patient of disease, carative factors aim at the caring process that helps the person attain (or maintain) health or die a peaceful deathâ⬠(Watson, 1985, p. 7). Watsonââ¬â¢s framework on the science of caring is constructed around ten carative factors, and benefits nurses with the delivery of care to patients. Jeanââ¬â¢s first three Caritas sets the theoretical tone for the science of cari ng and lays the foundation for the remaining seven processes. The humanistic-altruistic system of values is crucial to the nursing process and toward the maturation of nurses. Instilling hope and faith to the patient is a vital component to the caring and curing model. When a patient education has run its course, what is left is instilling hope and faith in order to cultivate a sense of wellness, which may become instrumental to them. The nurturing of information to oneself and others examines the nursesââ¬â¢ need to initiate experiences and emotions as it displays. When nurses practice sensitivity, it brings on a more genuine and trustworthy impression, which motivates self-maturity and self-actualization. So as nurses who articulate person-to-person relationships, health and sophisticated behavior is promoted. Good communication skills which entails verbal and non-verbal as well as listening, exhibits a caring personality and creates caring and rapport with the patient. The ability to acknowledge affirmative and negative connotations increases level of understanding and the awareness of such emotions helps understand the behavior that is being conveye d. Watson (1990) insinuates that feelings modify thoughts and behaviors for deliberation and allowance in a caring connection. She continues to elevate the individual character of nursing and advocates the necessity to evaluate and formulate further methods of practice to implement a holistic approach. The caring nurse should also include an emphasis on the learning process in addition to teaching. When a nurse can accept and understand a personââ¬â¢sà attitude regarding his/her status, it lends the ability of the nurse to create a cognitive plan. While considering the requirements for a caring, protecting, and curative emotional, physical, socio-cultural, and spiritual environment, Watson segregates the factor into two variables; internal and external interdependent. Nurses utilize these variables in an effort to gain support and protection for the personââ¬â¢s emotional and physical well-being. Offering assistance of fulfilling the human need is a hierarchy of need that is com parable to Maslow. Watson constructed a hierarchy that is important to the science of caring and for the quality of nursing care whilst promoting optimal health. The way in which human existence comprehends each other allows the nurse to incorporate and reconcile inconsistencies of how the perception of the person as a holistic being, while focusing on the hierarchical arrangement. This enables the nurse to assist the patient in discovering strengths and courage when facing life or death. At the moment of caring, the nurse and the patient connect in such a way that creates an opportunity for humanistic caring (Watson, 1985). Both persons connect exclusively in a person-to-person interaction. Watson (1999) eludes to the fact that caring time becomes transpersonal when it affirms the appearance of the spirit of both and the opportunity to expand the confines of openness and personal capabilities transpires. An individual is identified as a person who has biophysical, psychophysical, psychosocial and intrapersonal needs that requires respect and care. Watson (1988) lends an explanation that a person is an existence within the world that embraces three realms of being, mind, body, and soul that is inspired by the self-concept, and who is free to make choices. Spirituality upholds a leading importance in the nursing profession and ascertains that the care of the soul is the most prominent characteristic in the art of nursing (Watson, 1997a). In conclusion, the concept of nursing as a science that is the culmination of personal behaviors, practices, proficiency, and experiences through a holistic approach. This approach enables the nurse to develop an approach that is effective in providing optimal care. Implementation of The Roy Adaptation Model enhances the role of nurses by clarifying and increasing interdisciplinary involvement. Watsonââ¬â¢s theory encourages nurses to base their nursing process on her caring model and implement the art of caring by providing compassionate care. Caring out the delivery of Watsonââ¬â¢s theoryà will augment the nursing process and the delivery of care that are both gratifying and stimulating. References Andrews, H., & Roy, C. (1991). When writing an essay on any topic you should make sure that you have the following components: Introduction Body with Evidence for Each Argument Conclusion References or Bibliography Some analytical essays on environmental economics will differ slightly in terms of style but the majority of essays you are tasked with writing are all formatted like this. All analytical essays on environmental economics require an introduction that offers the reader adequate background information in order to understand your argument. All analytical essays on environmental economics require proper citations in accordance with the format style assigned to you by your teacher or by your TA. The analytical essay is an important piece of writing which requires you to review all of the related literature to your topic. Your purpose in doing so is to analyze what literature exists to date related to your topic or your theme and determine where are any gaps or if one author makes a more valid claim substantiated by evidence than another. It is an opportunity as a student to expose yourself to the work that professionals in your field have completed and to review it critically. It is also a chance for you to learn valuable research and note-taking skills. Once you know what you should be looking for when you begin researching and reading. Facts and theories which provide an answer to your question are perfect, while opinions given without fact are not. If the opinion is whether a specific answer or solution is viable or not, and it comes from an expert in the field, is perfectly fine though. As you write your notes, it is important that you avoid writing too much. So often students run into issues with plagiarism, or simply lack adequate unique ideas in their work because they write too much down in their notes. When it comes time to produce a paper, the essay becomes a patchwork of ideas borrowed from other writers and not an expression of unique thinking. Therefore, your time spent researching should be a collective effort to understand the sources and to integrate the sources into personal knowledge and thinking. It should not be a time to merely copy entire paragraphs and weave together an essay from the remarks of others alone. Note cards should record ideas which are relevant to a topic and they should summarize information more often than quoting it. Remember these tips while taking notes: Only write exact words copied from a text if the ideas are surprisingly expressed or the phrasing is memorable; these can be used as actual quotes in the final essay. Compress ideas using your words. Paraphrasing something word for word is wasteful of your time. Instead, take the most important ideas and use them as a heading or label and then fill in some sub-points below. Avoid underlining and highlighting as your only source of note taking. This is a good resource and method of studying to be sure, but when researching for a paper it would behoove you to write your own words in a sticky note or in the margin. How To Create A Website Using WordPress - EssaySupply.com
How To Create A Website Using WordPress How to Create a Website Using WordPress Not very long ago, the process of creating a website was quite complex. If you wanted a nice looking website where visitors would actually enjoy spending time, you had to master HTML, JavaScript, or other languages in order to build and launch a decent site. Your other option was to use an online website template. Unfortunately, the web sites generated using those were clunky and hard to navigate. Now, there is another option. WordPress is a utility that allows people to create professional looking blogs and websites without having to master any technical skills. In fact, creating a WordPress website is quite simple. If you are willing to learn a few tips and techniques, you could potentially have your own website up and running in just a few hours. First Things First: Get Signed Up To start, go to the WordPress website and get signed up. Youââ¬â¢ll be able to set up a user account and choose password. Youââ¬â¢ll also be able to choose the name of your website. WordPress gives you two options. The first is free, and will look like this: www.yourwebsitename.wordpress.com. The other costs a nominal amount of money and looks like this: www.yourwebsitename.com. There are other more costly options if you want to set your website up as an e-commerce store. Now, Take a Look Around WordPress Once your profile has been created and you have selected your website name and title, take a look around your dashboard. This is where you will do all of the work required to keep your websiteà up to date and running smoothly. If you cannot figure everything out, donââ¬â¢t worry. WordPress has plenty of tutorials.à You can also submit questions to a customer service agent, or use their forums to find answers. Picking Your Theme Your theme is the thing that will give your website personality. If you are launching a personal or business website and you care about branding, it is very important to choose a theme that works for you. Remember though, you can customize themes by adding your own images and making other changes. à These include custom images, fonts, adding your own titles and headers, and colors. Start Writing With WordPress, you either write posts or you write pages. A post is like a blog post. When you publish a new post, that is what your visitors see, and your previous posts are pushed down the page. When you publish a page, that is appears in the same way a new page appears on a website. Remember that your website can have both posts and pages. For example, you may have a contact page, a home page, and a products page, but you may also have a blog page where you publish new posts. You can set up menus and navigation links to help your visitors find their way around your website. Check Out Some PlugIns PlugIns are nifty little utilities that you can use to make your WordPress website even better. PlugIns can be used to make your site load faster for visitors, help you manage user comments, publish your logo onto all of your pages, stream content from news feeds, and a variety of other helpful things. There are even plugins that will verify all of the links on your WordPress site so that you can fix any dead links and make sure the content that you link is still appropriate. If you can set up a WordPress website, you can use it for many things. You could launch that small business, or you could simply set up a website to launch your personal brand or discuss your interests. As always, if you need help with web content (remember you can count on us for more than helping you buy college essays online), our writers will be happy to assist.

War Crimes and crimes against humanity Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2500 words
War Crimes and crimes against humanity - Essay Example Turkish officials killing Armenians during the war, Germans committing atrocities on Jews, Polish people and others, cases that came up during Nuremburg trials, Russian treatment of German prisoners all came under war crimes. Crimes against humanity include genocide, mass murder, en mass slavery, mass executions, enslavement, deportation, extermination etc. This means any atrocious act committed on a large group could be termed as crimes against humanity. Sometimes these two overlap one another. Paul Touvier, Klaus Barbie, and Maurice Papon in France, and Imre Finta in Canada are a few examples. The origins of the war crimes must have started as soon as the war started and that was immediately after the Stone Age when people began grouping together and individuality ended. The groups fought against one another and heaped atrocities on the vanquished men and women. In recent centuries, after the advent of social Darwinism, people have understood the sufferings and harshness that the wars have imposed on Mankind. In Buddhism, Jainism and Hinduism, there are dictums against war and war crimes, especially so, in Buddhism and there are historical stories that inform us about the emperors who gave up the war path to avoid atrocities on ordinary soldiers and civilians. But in recent centuries once again, wars have been glorified and war crimes have taken place in many regions of all the continents. In first and second world wars, Japan, Russia, Germany, Italy like countries practiced war crimes. In later years, former Yugoslavia became another example of crimes against humanity. I t is the duty of International law not only to punish war criminals, but also to prevent such happenings. "Essentially, international humanitarian law has a two-fold purpose. It is intended to protect non-combatants, or those who are not now or never were, taking part in the fighting. It also limits the methods and means by which the fighting is carried out," Chuter (2003, p.59). War crimes could be of many kinds. It should involve 'cataclysmic, direct acts of violence', there should be 'logical connection between these events and the discipline of criminology' Yacoubian (2006, p.5). War crimes and crimes against humanity are not limited to only governments and armies. "The framework is not restricted to crimes committed by governments. Criminal acts committed by individual members of society, or corporations therein, are also eligible for inclusion" (Ibid). Genocide, ill-treatment of prisoners of war, ill treating women including sexual assault, mass murder, torture all come under this category of war crimes and crimes against humanity. The main purpose of International Criminal Court is to try war crimes and crimes against humanity and punish the deserving war criminals. Violations of Geneva convention like wilful killing, inflicting serious injury, inhuman torture, or starvation, confinement, wanton destruction of property, forcing a prisoner of war to serve the opposite side, torturing him or denying him a proper trial come under war crimes. In addition, taking hostages and using them for ransom, direct and purposeful attacks on civilians, attacking, injuring or killing peace workers, NGOs, charity organisations and humanitarian organisations like Amnesty international or Red Cross, killing doctors who are on duty as doctors also

Favorite Place - Personal Statement Example The fascination for Hawaii grew more and more after watching every new episode. One odd day, I asked my Dad if he could send me on a vacation to Hawaii. Although I wasn't too optimistic but I was astonished when he agreed and brought the tickets the very same day. After a long flight, I woke up with the biggest smile because I was in Hawaii. I found heaven at twenty-one degrees North and one hundred fifty-six degrees West, in the Pacific Ocean. Hawaii is heaven. I was in love with this place right at my first glance. From the scenic volcanoes to the picturesque coral reefs, Hawaii is picture perfect. The milieu is immaculate to showcase the contrasting nature. Even the most fastidious people on earth would find it difficult to argue. With the advent of the sun in the morning, I put on my freshly made orchid lei. I enjoy smelling the sweet, floral aroma all day long. The beach appeared tailored to hug the waves of the ocean. I strolled on the beach and could easily spend the entire day over it either listening to my IPOD or simply reading a book. The warm, soft sand is brownish-tan in color, and it feels so good when my feet sink into it. I love hearing the brilliantly blue ocean calling out to me with its mellifluous voice. The beach also has a very distinct smell, the mixture of tropical tanning oils and the salty ocean water.

Merits and Drawbacks of Central Bank Independence Essay
Merits and Drawbacks of Central Bank Independence - Essay Example Money is important in the economy of a country due to the several functions it serves. Since central banks are charged with critical roles, it becomes challenging for most countries to decide whether the mandate of the central bank should fall under the control of the executive or whether the institution should operate autonomously and independently. This paper discusses focuses on the independence of central bank and discusses the merits and drawbacks that are associated with an independent central bank. The theoretical case for central bank independence is founded on the notion that price stability is critical and is the main objective of any monetary policy. However, politicians of a country are mainly not interested in fully safeguarding this major objective of the monetary policy since their concern is focused on the short term and politically dependent central banks. To address this, it becomes vital that the main objective of monetary policy is entrusted to agents that have a long term focus and who are not politically elected by the masses. Theoretically, central bank independence is considered to a solution to three major problems. First, this is considered to have the capacity of making it difficult for fiscal authority and policy to have relative dominance on the monetary authority and policy. Additionally, based on the models of political business cycles and partisan cycles, central bank independence is considered to provide protection to society against the distortions th at business or partisan cycles can result into. Finally, basing on the dynamic inconsistency theory, central bank independence is considered an effective way of addressing dynamic inconsistencies in monetary policy.
Predictive sales Report Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2000 words
Predictive sales Report - Essay Example The upswings in the economy usually offer a rush of expanding the business; on the contrary, downward economy results in low business transaction. In strong economies, business enjoys greater prosperity. Along with that, it is also necessary to consider the other economical indicators of a state in order to exactly determine the scenario (Albuquerque & Vega, 2009). In this report, the economic condition of South Carolina will be highlighted and on the basis of that the retailer will be recommended to stock the inventory. In addition to recommend the appropriate stock inventory, the study also intends to formulate a predictive sales report. In order to shed light on the economic condition of the state, the most important factor that will be considered is the unemployment rate of the state. The unemployment rate will be the factor that will be stressed more. Studies have shown that the unemployment rate of a country has significant impact on the overall trade of a country. Unemployment Rate as an Economic Indicator During recessionary phases, the unemployment rate rises to its maximum level. For example, the unemployment rate during booming and normal phases is far below in comparison with the unemployment rate during recession. The 1975 depression saw global unemployment rate reaching 8.9%. ... The unemployment rate is also considered as the relative measure of the jobs available for employment and the tightness or slack of the labor market. Therefore, the unemployment rate of a state plays imperative roles in presenting the economic scenario of state and is acting as an alarm for the administration and government (Balduzzi, Elton & Green, 2001). Nowadays, business houses have also taken immense interests in the latest unemployment rates of a country or state so as to determine the chances of success for the business. This is principally because the unemployment rate is directly associated with the consumer spending. Thus, more unemployment rate will obviously lead to low customer traffic and reduced business transaction. Since, this report seeks to throw light on the economic scenario of South Carolina so as to recommend an overall inventory stock to the client, involved in physical retailing business, stressing more on the unemployment rate is fully justified. Presentatio n of the Data The data will be gathered from the website of the Job and Labor Statistics. In order to analyze the requirements of the inventory; the study will mainly consider the unemployment rate of South Carolina and along with that overall economic scenario of the state. A trend will be developed and on the basis of that inventory stock will be recommended. The findings of data are presented below: - Year Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov Dec 2003 6.4 6.4 6.5 6.6 6.8 6.9 6.9 7.0 6.9 6.8 6.8 6.7 2004 6.7 6.8 6.8 6.8 6.9 6.9 6.9 6.9 6.9 6.9 6.9 6.9 2005 6.9 6.9 6.8 6.7 6.6 6.6 6.7 6.8 6.9 6.9 6.8 6.7 2006 6.6 6.4 6.4 6.4 6.4 6.5 6.5 6.5 6.4 6.3 6.2 6.1 2007 5.9 5.7 5.6

Informational interview Assignment Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words
Informational interview - Assignment Example Accordingly, there is someone I know who is doing just that. Bryan Koszoru is a 3D artist at Sony Computer Entertainment and an instructor of zbrush details and 3D environment modeling at Otis College of Art and Design. I chose him because of the teaching profession mainly, and then because of his other ââ¬Å"workâ⬠or activities outside the college. I love the idea of acting as a guide to individuals interested in art, and helping them tap into their creativity. This is probably why I see teaching as a very noble profession. Teaching is an art in itself, and to teach art makes it double art. I knew Bryan from the two classes I had under him. The interview was very casual, yet insightful. He was like a mentor trying to give tips to his protege. The interview provided me with more ammunition not only in my desire to teach, but in my whole personal and professional art life. It is good because I know there will come a time when I will look back and remember some of Bryan's statem ents and advices, and have an easier time with certain situations due to what I learned from him in this interview. II. On Bryan Koszoru The interview with Bryan Koszoru was light and entertaining. I asked a couple of questions regarding his work history so that I will be able to get an idea of how he started as an artist. It is interesting to note that his first job ever was because of a recommendation from a fellow student. This made me look back at the networking events I went to and decided that they might really prove to be significant in the very near future. Bryan's training had mainly been in advertising, since he is into 3D ever since. He admits to have felt the usual boredom and frustration from his job then, not because he does not like what he is doing, but perhaps because he has not attained the level of mastery that he wants for himself then. He says that what prepared him for the job and made him succeed is his perseverance. He claims to just keep pushing on no matter what and despite the ennui he felt. He states that it is not talent that helps him in his line of work, but character. He says that aside from perseverance, there is also curiosity. He is always trying to find a better or faster way do do things. He says that those two characteristics are very much needed in his work right now. Yet, he knows that character alone won't do the job. That is why he also works on keeping his art talents and skills current. He practices, not only his hands, but also his other senses. He watches movies a lot, plays games a lot, and maintains that art is like life for him since he tries to incorporate art in anything he does. That's what keeps him practicing all the time --- sometimes even unconsciously. He further states that it takes a long time to make great work no matter how good a person is, so patience and perseverance should always be there. For him, a typical day is mostly about art and working. He says he goes to work, and either make assets or w ork on back end engine improvements for the studio. What he likes most about his job is the people he works with. He mentions that working around smart and motivated, and possibly creative, people is one of the best things about his job. The only downside perhaps is that it is still a job and he just can't run off and do whatever he wants anytime he wants. When asked what he can recommend to someone who wants to pursue a career in this path, he mentioned mastery at one thing. He emphasized picking a

Human Resources Information Essay Example for Free
Human Resources Information Essay Introduction This report on data management; has been compiled to explain to you the reasons why HR data is important to an organisation, the types of data that should be recorded, the methods for collecting HR data and some of the UK legislation surrounding the recording, storing and accessibility of HR Data. Types of Data That Should Be Recorded and the Reasons Why ââ¬Å"HR records include a wide range of data relating to individuals working in an organisation, for example, pay or absence levels, hours worked and trade union agreements. This information may be stored in a variety of media, such as computer databases or paper files.â⬠(http://www.cipd.co.uk/hr-resources/factsheets/retention-hr-records.aspx#link_0, accessed 3/3/2015) There are some statutory records that need to be recorded and stored; these statutory records must be kept because the law requires them. Statutory records will include things like the job title, address and emergency contact. Records such as pay and working hours willà be stored to help management adhere to the Working Time Directive and the Minimum Wage Act 1998. Non-statutory records are kept for the internal purposes of the organisation. These records such as attendance, punctuality, skills, strengths and weaknesses can all be used to recognise trends within the company and aggregate management or big data so that managers can act on any trends that may need sorting. For example at P.P. Plasma Ltd there is only one person in the sales department who is trained to read and understand technical drawings. This person is currently in line for a promotion within the group of companies and will no longer be part of the sales team in the next eighteen months. After aggregating the records it has been identified that the manager of the drawing office has the skills to teach the other sales team members enough to fill this skills gap. Other reasons for storing records could be to review capability issues; induction records, training records and health and safety documentation should all allow the organisation to challenge staff on the reasons that they are not following procedures when they have had training and have signed to show understanding. These will also show any other training that may be necessary. As evidence in case of any tribunal or discrimination challenges; recruitment and selection data and termination of employment data will show the organisation has been fair and unbiased in its selection process or how they have dealt with a termination without discrimination. Methods of Storing HR Data Paper Method The paper method of storing records has many more disadvantages than advantages; but for small organisations would still be a viable solution to storing HR records. ââ¬Å"Data relating to employees is of a highly contentious and potentially litigious nature and has to be managed in accordance with compliance regulations. To do this manually is a daunting task and often liable to malpractice.â⬠(http://www.ipcgroup.co.uk, accessed 7/3/2015) There are time limits on the information that can be kept and if you are storing this information manually then this also means that you must remove or redact information every so often. This means that data could be stored for too long. Aggregating all of the data collected into big data can also be a challenge; most of this data will need to be entered into spreadsheetsà manually in order to create the management data needed. Other issues with paper records are the cost of floor space needed to store the information, the difficulty of backing up such a system; this would require the same amount of floor space on an alternate site and the security of the records; some filing cabinets may be locked with a key but if somebody were to forget to lock the cabinet then these files are open to anybody with access to the room. Digital Method The digital method could be a cheaper, much more secure, simple and timesaving solution to all organisations but especially the larger ones. ââ¬Å"Given the low cost and the easy accessibility of electronic records storage, many employers are making the digital leap to ââ¬Å"paperlessâ⬠HR. These days, most records are created and maintained electronically, and some never even make their way to paper.â⬠(http://www.businessmanagementdaily.com, accessed 7/3/2015) Security on a digital system whether it be local or cloud based would be much easier to manage, an electronic record of anybody that as accessed data can be kept automatically and permissions can be set to allow some people to see records that others do not have permission to see; for example at P.P. Plasma Ltd the Managing Director will have access to the HR of everybody in the organisation whereas a departmental manager will only have access to the records on their own staff. Space is only an issue of how much cloud space you can afford or how big a hard drive you can have in your server if you are doing it locally. When using a cloud based service you need to ensure that the cloud service that you are using has a backup system in case of a failure or natural disaster and what the time constraints on these being implemented if needed. Whereas if you are using a local system you will need to speak with your IT department and ensure that the system is backed and removed from the site, this solution will also need a time constraint on how long the system will need to be put back into place. Other reasons to use a digital HR system would be that the data could be aggregated into management and big data easily, whether the HR system has this built in or the data needs to be copied into a spreadsheet or database in order to create graphs, charts , tables and reports. Searching digital records could be done with a few clicks of the mouse and as long as the permissions are set up correctly this could also tell you who you need toà speak to in order to gain access to the information that you are searching for. UK Legislation regarding HR Data There are many pieces of legislation surrounding the recording, accessing and storing of HR data but the two that I am going to explain are the Date Protection Act 1998 and the Freedom of Information Act 2000. The Data Protection Act 1998 controls how your personal information is used by organisations, businesses or the government. Anybody responsible for storing and accessing HR data has to follow the data protection principles. They must make sure the information is: used fairly and lawfully used for limited or specifically stated purposes used in a way that is adequate, relevant and not excessive accurate kept for no longer than is absolutely necessary handled according to peopleââ¬â¢s data protection rights kept safe and secure not transferred outside the UK without adequate protection Anybody who feels that there data has not been used in accordance to these principles can make a complaint to the organisation themselves and if they are still unhappy with the response can contact the Information Commissionerââ¬â¢s Office. The Freedom of Information Act 2000 gives the general public right of access to all types of recorded information held by public authorities and those providing services for them. It also sets out exemptions from that right and places a number of obligations on public authorities. Recorded information includes printed documents, computer files, letters, emails, photographs, and sound or video recordings. In order to adhere to the Freedom of Information Act; any person making a request to a public authority for information will be entitled to be informed whether that information is held. The Freedom of Information Act does not give people access to their own personal data such as their health records or credit reference file. If a member of the public wants to see information that a public authority holds about them, they should make a subject access request under the Data Protection Act 1998

One of the important aspects of every brand is its marketing strategy because it gives it a sense of direction about the efforts that need to be done so that it can capture the attention of its target market and convey positive message to its customers (Key Note, 2011). When the marketing strategies of top ranked brands are studied, an in-depth understanding about the relevant topic can be developed. Rolexs current marketing strategy will assist in analyzing the success of Rolex in such dynamic and competitive wristwatch industry. Limitations of the Study The scope of the research is limited as there are both time and resource constraints. The research is exploratory in nature and it is comprised of questionnaire-survey. The questionnaire has been designed in consensus with the previous work done by some authors as the questions are designed in accordance with the variables identified to be studied for the research purpose which is discussed in the Literature Review section. The availability of pure study of the subject was another constraint as the researcher is inexperienced and may lack certain skills which can affect the research paper. Literature Review Brief Introduction of Rolex Whenever a customer wears Rolex watch, it enhances the persons personality which makes a statement that the person has a great taste of style and fashion (Gautschi, 2005). Since Rolex watches are designed exclusively for upper class, only selected group of people can enjoy the prestige of owning the brand. Rolex has been in the market since 1995 and it is has its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. It has employed more than four thousand watchmakers in about one hundred countries (Mulier, 2010). Rolex was the first brand to introduce waterproof watch in the year 1926. All of the watches are designed with fine quality materials and everything is done in detail so that there are no defects in the final products (Brandz, 2010). In order to build a successful brand in the market, it is important for the companies to focus on development of realistic and well-designed marketing strategy that will support them in achieving their desired objectives (Wansink, 2003). Likewise, brand equity, brand image and marketing strategy are the main areas of studying a brand as they help in determining the factors that influence the customers to make a purchasing decision (Saha, 2012). Marketing Strategy The marketing strategy is one of the key elements of every business plan because the mediums that can be used to reach the target market have to be selected carefully. It is important for an organization to design its marketing strategy on the basis of two most important factors i.e. who is being targeted (target market profile) and which mediums will be applicable for communicating right message about the brand (Keller, 2008). Like any business plan, marketing strategy has a set of objectives that a company wants to achieve for its survival in the market; the key to developing right position in the market is to develop a set of goals on the basis of critical factors which will also help a company to monitor the effectiveness of its marketing strategy (Rao, Agrawal Dahlhoff, 2004). A good marketing strategy is one that is developed with the consensus of the management team of a company and its employees so that there are fewer chances that any important point is overlooked (World Watch Report, 2012). In order to develop an effective marketing strategy, the foremost thing to consider is the target market as it will give an indication about the direction that the company should follow to achieve its goals. An ideal strategy is one that makes the best use of both traditional and online marketing mediums to create, maintain and strengthen its position in the market (Coupland, 2005). In order to attract the customers appropriately, the best way is to design a marketing strategy that has a perfect blend of Above-the-line (ATL) activities and Below-the-line (BTL) activities along with Public Relations and promotional activities (Key Note, 2011). ATL activities comprise of Advertisements on Television and Radio and in newspapers and magazine; all of these forms require heavy amount of investment. BTL activities include brochures, leaflets, billboards, flyers, buntings and etc.; the cost of these activities is comparatively less than that of ATL activities. The marketing activities of each company is determined that is compatible with the type of product or service offering, the target audience and marketing budget (Brandz, 2010). For instance, the marketing activities of Unilever comprise of advertisements, sponsorship of events, promotional offers, billboards and celebrity endorsements. Standard Chartered uses the ATL and BTL activities for consumer segment and one to one marketing for the business segment. Hence, every organization and brand has to ensure that it designs a marketing strategy after doing careful market analysis as it has to gather information about the activities that competitors are doing, the latest trend in the market, customers changing needs, changes in business environment and modification in trade policies worldwide (Gautschi, 2005). Marketing Strategy of Rolex The two main elements of Rolex strategy are tradition and conservatism which means that it has the same product and same communication strategy for decades. The communication strategy is unique that complements the differentiation constituent of its products that has enabled the company to maintain its competitive edge in the wristwatch industry. When the brand started growing in popularity, it kept nurturing itself and added celebrity endorsement so that the customers can develop an association with the brand (Saha, 2012). One interesting fact about Rolex strategy is that it has created a mystery element around its brand which has been an appealing feature for the customers (Brandz, 2010). It has been considered as a male watch for a long period and it has started to penetrate slowly into the female wristwatch market. The backward vertical integration is done by the company so that future supply can be secured and there is less competition within the industry. From the study of Rolex advertisements and marketing activities such as sponsorship of events, it is evident that its marketing strategy is truly a sponsorship and celebrity endorsement strategy. There are two distinctive categories of advertisement done by Rolex i.e. celebrity endorsements and pure product campaigns. The most commonly used medium of advertisements is publishing ads in newspapers and magazines, running Television Commercials and displaying billboards. However, celebrity endorsement is done at a wider level as it helps in developing a luxury brand image. In order to understand the effectiveness of Rolex marketing strategy, Brandz (2010) and Mullier (2010) conducted researches to evaluate the impact of celebrity endorsement on the customers; the survey was carried out and it was found that people buy Rolex because it allows the user to experience the sensation of being a celebrity and wearing the watch enhances the personality of the person as it makes a person stand out from the crowd. The endorsements by celebrity also helps in getting trust of the customers as they believe that any endorsement done by a well-known personality emphasizes that the product or service is genuine and it is worth giving so much money. Most people buy luxury goods so that they can have some similarity with their favorite personalities; hence, Rolex is using this strategy to capture its customers and has been successful in increasing its market share at a faster pace (World Watch Report). In this research, the key terminologies that are studied are brand association, customer loyalty and celebrity endorsement. Brand association is the sense of belonging that the customer develops when using a particular brand, customer loyalty is the customers desire of purchasing the same brand on repeated basis and celebrity endorsement is using celebrities in the advertisement to promote a brand (Keller, 2008). Research Methodology The nature of the research is both qualitative and quantitative as the topic is vast and there are no concrete definitions available for the concepts that are being studied i.e. brand association, marketing strategy, customer loyalty and celebrity endorsement. Since the human factors are being studied, it is important that after gathering sufficient theoretical knowledge, the data collected is analyzed properly. The data is collected by conducting both primary and secondary researches. The secondary sources of information are compiled mainly from the research journals and articles along with the books available on many online stores. The variables for the study are deduced after careful evaluation of all factors. The variables have been defined in detail so that an understanding about the purpose of research can be easily developed. The primary data is collected by conducting a small survey that comprise of fifty respondents. Online data collection method was used to reach the respondents as contacting them via email was the easiest method. The sampling method used was convenience sampling as all the respondents were college students and accessing data via online survey was the most feasible option. When the questionnaire was developed, a pilot test was done on ten respondents to determine the understanding capability of the respondents and to ensure that the respondents had no difficulty in the questionnaires. The questionnaire comprised on ten structured questions so that the respondents had to select the option that best met their opinion. The main aim of this survey was to identify the image of Rolex in young people and also to determine the meaning of brand association in this market. Although the brand is considered to be a luxury brand but it is vital to get the viewpoint of the customers to understand the factors that led to the development of such image. The questions revolved around the key concepts i.e. brand association, customer loyalty and celebrity endorsement. Other factors that can impact the marketing strategy were studied to identify the extent to which they can have impact on the customers such as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, ethical practices, environmental friendly policies and business operations, Public Relations and many more. Since the response rate is slow in online data collection method, the entire data was collected in ten days. When some of the respondents gave half-filled questionnaires, they were asked to fill them again and submit a completely filled questionnaire. Some interviews were also planned with Rolex marketing people but due to some important project, interview sessions were not conducted; otherwise, the information would have been more authentic and up-to-date. Once the data was collected, it was then entered in the excel sheet which was later used for in-depth analysis. When data analysis was done, undue care was given to the tools used for analysis. Since the main purpose was to understand Rolex association in customers minds, the analysis was kept simple as most of the data is presented in descriptive statistics i.e. frequency, percentage, means and etc. so that readers can easily understand the findings of the research. The main problems encountered during the research were slow response rate and cancellation of interviews with Rolexs marketing department people. Findings The data collected from primary and secondary researches showed that the luxury brands in the wristwatch industry are Rolex, Omega, Dior, Cartier, Tag Heuer and Swatch. Majority of the people ranked Rolex and Cartier as the best luxury brands that have high quality and give the users a sense of pride for owning the watch of leading brands. The key factor that influenced in creation of such perception was the celebrity endorsement. More than 80% of the respondents that they get attracted those advertisements that have their favorite personalities or celebrities as they know that the person will tell the truth about the brand. Almost 70% of the respondents agreed that they buy a brand because they want to develop an association with their favorite star and want to share something similar so that they can enjoy the feeling of belongingness with their aspiring personality. The respondents agreed that Rolex is a luxury brand and they can only recall those ads that had some celebrity in them as it is easier to recall a brand in this way. Only 60% of the respondents were aware of CSR activities and sponsored events organized by Rolex; it shows that the celebrity endorsement strategy works best for Rolex customers. From the primary research, it was found that only 10% had a Rolex watch which was given to them as a gift; remaining 90% agreed that the price of Rolex watches is high and only few people can afford to buy them. Even when such luxury brand watches are bought, they need to be handled with care because slight negligence can cause huge amount of repairing cost. The respondents believe that there should be a separate line of watches for those people who are looking for premium quality watches but at affordable rates. Conclusion Rolex is a luxury brand that can be bought by only selected group of people; the company has clarity about its target market and has designed its marketing strategy in accordance with the market requirements. The current marketing strategy used by Rolex comprises of celebrity endorsement and sponsoring of events. Majority of the advertisements are placed in magazines and newspapers of elite class so that they can be informed about the watches. When new watch is introduced by the company, advertisements are run on Television so that awareness about the product can be created. Rolex has created distinctive image in the market by portraying itself as the luxurious brand that is worn by celebrities. Everyone who wants to develop an association with any of the favorite personalities is buying and using Rolex watches. Hence, the marketing strategy used by Rolex has helped it in achieving its set goals of marketing strategy and it has positioned itself distinctively from its competitors.

The Tale of Robin Hood Essay -- Analysis, Sherwood Forest
THESIS STATEMENT Although only slightly factual in historical setting, the legends of Robin Hood have captivated the imaginations of young and old alike through the charming stories concerning the characters of Sherwood Forest. PURPOSE STATEMENT Through critical analysis and research concerning the legends and characters surrounding Robin Hood, this paper will present the theme of social justice for the common man as purported by the Merry Men of Sherwood Forest. INTRODUCTION The tale of Robin Hood has evolved into one of the greatest legends of all time and has fascinated the minds of all who have heard about it. The stories surrounding Robin Hood and his adventures took place in the forests of Sherwood and Barnsdale dating back to the fifteenth century. The first question that comes to mind when dealing with this legend is who was the real Robin Hood? Amazingly, speculation regarding this question still exists today and the tale has survived more than seven hundred years. Now the real question has to be why is this ââ¬Å"Robin Hoodâ⬠such a fixating topic? Since there is such controversy over the real Robin Hood, for the most part he is a fictional character. He has now been adapted to a man of the movies where every director has a different vision of who he might have been. Their vision was usually of a heroic figure even though he could have more easily been considered a villain for what he did for a living. ââ¬Å"â⬠¦the image of Robin as a clever, lighthearted prankster gained strength. The tales in which he appeared as a highway robber and murderer were forgotten or rewrittenâ⬠(Wickersham 12). It has a gotten to a point where now every child has a heroic vision of Robin Hood whereas the early ballads and oral tr... ...que. There is an explanation to why historians have obsessed over Robin Hood and it is not just to find out if there was a man who lived up to such surreal standards. He is a legend and loved by all for a reason and that is he was not afraid to stand up and fight for what he believed in. His message to the law and what we learn from his legend is clear. ââ¬Å"It is a warning that injustice cannot be tolerated just because it is part of the system, for the anger which such injustice in the end awakens is unrestrained.â⬠(Keen 218). Robin Hood lived motivated to fight against those he believed to be undeserving and in doing so he ended up standing up for the common man. This was his legacy in what he perceived as a noble quest for social justice. Real or imaginary, Robin Hood will continue to captivate the minds of all readers and his legend will never die.

The Standard Of Quality In Vietnamese Primary School Education Essay
Education has ever been an of import issue for all states at all times. Primary instruction is a basic status to better peoples knowledge. The original base is really of import to develop kids to go good citizens of the state. Many undertakings have been conducted to analyze the learning responsibilities of instructors, installations, instructional stuffs. Cipher can deny the importance of instruction but how to better the quality in instruction is another job. There are many facets to measure the instruction system from the societal factors, national, the instructor ââ¬Ës pedagogical ability, module, installations, substructure or the ability to comprehension and involvement of students. There are 1000s ground make instruction more of import such as the manner individual behaviour, the manner they talk, thinks, do everything, is successful key to open future door. Nowadays, companies, workss, infirmary, schoolsaÃâ à ¦ used practical scientific discipline, high engineering and besides requires staffs with high cognition. Education is non merely the lessons in school but besides practical lessons from life. Primary school ââ¬Ës instruction is a necessary portion which is the most of import and basic to take to the higher cognition. Hanoi is capital of Vietnam, where integrate economic, cultural, and policy with other state. It make the preparation procedure to make high rational people become an highly pressing job which requires many factors and one of them is the criterion of quality in Vietnamese Primary school. The criterion is assessed through students ââ¬Ë criterions, criterion of instructors and possible fiscal. Many people attribute the quality of learning from instructors, installation conditions, the instruction systemâ⬠¦ But in my personal sentiment the comprehension and the interesting of topics are the job should be addressed. Normally, when the kids from school go back, the parents frequently ask them ââ¬Å" how many Markss did you acquire? â⬠Or ââ¬Å" today what did the instructor Tell at school? â⬠but taking attention and educating the kids are the duty of the full society, non the merely of the school. But criterion of students besides depends on many other factors such as the involvement of the household for the kid ââ¬Ës acquisition, the kid ââ¬Ës physical, ability to grok and private nature of the kid, or the investing and policy of societal. Education is extremely valued in Vietnamese society and the authorities ever regards instruction as a beginning of direct investing for the hereafter. First precedence has been set to supply basic instruction for all kids and instruction / preparation on the basic rate for kids who meet the entry demands. Every state has it ain alone and jobs. We can non copy the success plans from one topographic point and use them to another topographic point. Vietnam needs to develop plans and their content based on which Vietnam and based on the existent conditions of the installations in your state.2.2 Research QuestionsThis research analyze what factor did impact the criterion of primary schools. This research will lend a portion to assist Vietnamese Primary schools in Hanoi more develop in quality of instruction. Research inquiries: What are Vietnamese students ââ¬Ë criterions in Primary schools? What issues do consequence to quality criterions in Vietnamese Primary school?2.3 Objective of ResearchTo mensurate the criterions of students in Vietnamese schools To place the issues affected Vietnamese Primary school ââ¬Ës quality criterions.3. Literature ReappraisalConcept of choice standard definition in Primary school There are many different constructs of quality criterions such as assessed by the survey consequences, the ability to use their cognition in pattern, general cognition, It is must corroborate foremost that Vietnam is really focussed on instruction particularly for paediatric ages. Harmonizing to Law Education Elementary Schools passed by the National Assembly on 06.30.1991, Vietnam to implement policy compulsory primary instruction from grade 1 to rate 5 for all Vietnamese kids aged 6 to 14 old ages. For pupils start in 1st class ââ¬Ës age and degree of apprehension of the pupils are the same. Presently, simple school students have to take 11 faculties with degree 3, 4, 5 and with flat 1st and 2nd are 6 faculties. In the Vietnamese school, students must hold to develop all facet, such as Knowledge ââ¬â Ethic ââ¬â Artistic ââ¬â Physical. Harmonizing to the Vietnamese Ministry of Education is pupil must run into the undermentioned standards: First, Vietnamese grade degree is 10 and students must accomplish norm above 5.Secondly, moralss must be reviews above centrist ( the moral evaluation: good, just, moderate, weak, and hapless ) . In 2000, Viet Nam has achieved national criterions of literacy and primary instruction. From the 2002-2003, the grownup literacy rate in the 15-24 age group was about 95 % , the mean figure of old ages of schooling of the population reached 7.3 old ages ( Nguyen, et Al. 2005 ) Assess criterion of quality of Vietnamese school in Hanoi. There are many criterions to measure criterion of quality in Vietnamese school such as high-quality criterions school ( must run into the criterions that the Vietnamese Ministry of Education demands ) . These schools are accepted high-quality criterions must run into the undermentioned standards: Teachers have to extremely choice criterion, survey consequences of students are high, fiscal resources or otherwise is installations and substructure criterions ( Nguyen, V.C.,2012 ) . There are all instructors have trained standard makings as prescribed, 100 % of instructors with appropriate makings for learning topics, in which at least 30 % of instructors were recognized municipal criterions. There are dropout rate and no more than 6 % one-year repeats, in which the dropout rate does non transcend 1 % . Students with outstanding accomplishments 3 % or more, rather accomplishing a 35 % or more, sort of weak, less than 5 % . Behavioral graded really good, good at 80 % or more, sort of weak no more than 2 % â⬠¦ And last but non least are installations and equipment to run into the instruction demands. Measure the quality criterion of Vietnamese Primary school in Hanoi Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam, with a population around 6,561,900 people. The studies shown in September 2012 showed overload in primary schools. In many schools have the mean registration of each category of about 40-60 students. Although, sum of cognition that pupils get in primary schools in Hanoi are extremely appreciated, a figure of pupils base on balls more than 99 % , figure of students with first-class academic public presentation and good more than 70 % . Every twelvemonth Hanoi has pupils participate in the international competition and won the award as mathematics, art and music. Harmonizing to the Vietnamese Ministry of Education have 5,912 primary schools, but a figure of primary schools in Hanoi are merely 556 public schools and over 200 private primary schools. Harmonizing to Vu, V ( 2012 ) in which have 267 primary schools run intoing the national criterion schools. Dr. Hamid Chachoua, LIG Research Institute, University of Grenoble 1 ââ¬â France has had treatments with the VietNamNet about Mathematics he said on the position of a mathematician, he found mathematics instruction in Vietnam is an first-class instruction in footings of mathematics content being taught in schools.4. Research ModelEvery state, in every part or even in different periods will necessitate different criterions of instruction such as in states are faced with war, dearth, or disease, if require for all kids have to cognize how to read and compose is a hard. Research theoretical account: from the practical and larn more experience from other state.4.1 Standards of studentsFirst, we will discourse about the making of students. Primary instruction in Vietnam includes five degrees. When the kids entered primary school is when kids begin to update the new information, the basic cognition to the demands tougher. That clip, the kids reasonably active and their logical statements are immature, but the ability to absorb really rapidly and wonder help them ever longed to cognize more new information. Learning in kindergarten and acquisition in primary schools is really different. In Primary Schools, kids get an sum of cognition bigger than in kindergarten. Harmonizing to Vietnamese parlance is ââ¬Å" The first measure is ever the hardest measure â⬠, Children before come ining simple school are a wellness cheque, believing ability, IQâ⬠¦ so they are qualified kid physically, mentally and intellectually to analyze. The secondly is their cognition, and past experience. Both of them, the cognition and past experience are merely few. In kindergarten, they were larning Numberss, the alphabet, simple computations but with reading and make math are rather job. Whereas keeping of kids really rapidly, they are easy to copy or sensitive to new things. They should be more witting in their acquisition, and is responsible for finishing the undertakings of lesson. Through five degrees, these kids have the basic cognition to go on on their manner to derive new cognition as luggage for their hereafter. Last, criterions of pupil rating precisely the most is the students graduated. They are students who finish their class and they are equipped with the basic cognition that have plenty knowledge to go on analyzing at the secondary schools, understanding of society, can self-face and manage hard state of affairss. They are people who clearly reflect the quality of their school. Knowledge in Primary Schools is the first tool will follow them throughout their lives from secondary school, high school, college, university and even when they go to work. The marks are the student ââ¬Ës ratio who banned from school every twelvemonth, the student ââ¬Ës ratio graduated wants to analyze in this school, the students ratio graduated with high accomplishment, the student ââ¬Ës ratio who can utilize adept English, the student ââ¬Ës ratio who can utilize fluently computing machine, per centum of students achieved the national award or in the universe.4.2 Teachers ââ¬Ë criterionHarmoniz ing to Nguyen, TA. ( 2008 ) , teacher is one in 3 most of import elements will act upon school ââ¬Ës quality. Teachers must hold good category direction accomplishments, expertness and pedagogical cognition every bit good as good communicating accomplishments. Primary school instructors should be people with many accomplishments, in add-on professional capableness must be knowing of the assorted countries such as cognition of societal psychological science of kids and immature near. Regularly, the instructors update the new cognition, construct lesson programs, course of study to do exhilaration for lessons. Teachers to use new engineering in talks and cite the paperss in the domestic every bit good as foreign. Harmonizing to Dang, H. ( 2001 ) quality instructors can be formed in many different ways, including preparation, retraining of cognition, that is an of import function. Therefore, the first in edifice and better the quality of instructors start from the attention of the preparation, retraining and lives of instructors. Over the old ages, preparation and retraining of instructors has been interested and have changed. The type of preparation and retraining as long-run and short-run with a batch of content in conformity with the different capable instructors. However, besides these consequences, the preparation and retraining of some defects, the quality of the instruction after preparation and retraining still have certain restrictions. Ministry of Education is doing sensible accommodations in order to better the quality of instruction. Harmonizing to Pham, H. ( 1999 ) Vietnam ââ¬Ës instruction system has been strengthened, construct pedagogical schools, train instructors who have high quality, and passion with their occupation. Presently, most of the primary school instructors are qualified, high pedagogical cognition, good communicating accomplishments and enthusiasm with instruction. However, the wage of primary school instructors is low. The Ministry of Education is sing to the instructor ââ¬Ës salary is increased. In position of Roberd L, L. ( 2008 ) criterions for competent instructor in educational appraisal of students.4.3 Fiscal resources and investing financessThe ability of finance and investing financess are the factors that straight affect the substructure, installations and instruction tools. Infrastructure and instruction tools is ever one of the most importance factors affected standard schools. First of all, budget affected stuff installations in school. In Viet Nam, the stuff installations prepare for learning in school is non plenty, sketchy and outdated. The Numberss of students is step-up every twelvemonth but the Numberss of public archpriest schools and private archpriest schools do non look to alter. Because budget expends for instruction is non plenty, and need attending of authorities, whole societal, and domestic and foreign givers. Furthermore, fiscal besides influence research scientific discipline and talk. Furthermore limited investing cost could take hapless material installation ( Nguyen, 2006 ) . As mentioned above, the mean wage of primary school instructors are rather low, largely is little budget. Teacher ââ¬Ës wage is excessively low is one of the causes of late twelvemonth ââ¬Ës pupils of teaching method rate decreased significantly, and affect hard to happen instructors who have high degree in learning accomplishments. Ability to finance and investing financess influence entire cost for learning and acquisition, entire cost for library, Numberss of book and paperss review on each instructor and student, figure of room and furniture, projectors, speakersaÃâ à ¦ make criterion. Harmonizing to Le ( 2010 ) computing machine systems use for acquisition and instruction, web system supports for larning and learning and use more advanced cognition, experiences in the universe.5. Research MethodologiesThere are three the ways used in research methods ( Sherri L. Jakson 2011 ) . The first is descriptive in nature ; the 2nd is prognostic in nature and the last 1 is explanatory in nature. There are two methods to back up the research which are inductively and deductively. Harmonizing to Veal ( 2005 ) each research can treat in one method or two methods depend on the practical state of affairss and issues to be studied. Inductive usage theory, that was publish but deductive usage hypothesis base from informations.5.1 Qualitative researchHarmonizing to Hussey and Hussey ( 1997 ) research methodological analysiss have two rules, which are qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative have basic in the realistic. Almost all qualitative research workers influence, explain or construe some different signifier. The qualitative researches are used explicating and existent observations with the purpose of developing a theory. Harmonizing to Isadore and Carolyn, ( 1988 ) this theory will construe what were experienced. Besides Veal ââ¬Ës sentiments, the methods used to roll up information are observation, formal, informal, part icipant observation and in-depth interviewing.5.2 Quantitative researchQuantitative research is the positive doctrines. Most of quantitative research attacks use to stress what are a existent common and what everybody can hold, despite they have theoretical differences. The quantitative research attacks are used when get down a theory or get down a hypothesis. This manner checks to corroborate or disconfirm to turn out that hypothesis is right or wrong ( Isadore and Carolyn, 1988 ) . Harmonizing to Veal ( 2005 ) the information collect studies, from questionnaire-based, and from secondary beginnings.5.3 Proposed Research MethodsIn this survey usage deductive and quantitative applies. There are two package will be used, those are SPSS ( Statistical Package for societal Science ) and Excel. SPSS and Excel will be used to analysis the informations after roll uping respondents and the study questionnaires.6 Collection of informations6.1 Secondary informationsHarmonizing to Boyce ( 2002 ) , secondary Data is considered as figures and a fact. Secondary informations already exist and can be available for everybody who wants to utilize them for the single intent of each individual. They may be of import information depend on a peculiar portion or research. Secondary informations provide basic information for illustration when demand to seek information for a undertaking program. Background information will assist clearly the research and easy understand the responsibilities with more clearly and deep. The research workers will hard to place what are cogency and dependability without secondary informations. They are ever cheaper and easier available than primary informations.6.2 Primary informationsEqually far as Kerin ( et al, 2003 ) if research workers need facts and figures are freshly collected, they have to utilize primary informations. All most researches use primary informations which are cod by study, depth interviews and focal point groups. They interview a bi g Numberss of participants and necessitate them reply the questionnaires, that is a simple manner to hold information and make a study. In undertakings require focal point groups or depth interviews but do n't necessitate more people, merely a little of participants but have to carefully selected ( Boyce, 2002 ) . Primary informations are ever more expensive and take longer clip if comparison with secondary informations.6.3 Sample size of Primary DataIn the undertaking assess the sample size is really of import and necessary. Basically, progressively gather every bit much information as possible and they will do the truth in your research higher. The primary informations in this survey will selected from more than 500 study respondents. They are students, parents, instructors and related people who willing joint study. In which over 75 % of study will be answered and fill in the questionnaires by traveling to face-to-face meetings, telephone interviews and other will complete questi onnaire and direct back by electronic mail.7. Method of Data AnalysisAs writer Bryman and Bell ( 2007 ) survey by the information analysis is indispensable. Statistically analyzed informations are required and informations analysis helps to see whether the hypotheses which were created have been supported.8. Presentation of dissertationaÃâ ?Show this thesis is the procedure of information figures, graphs and tabular arraies. Furthermore, it will be supported by composing, study and readers.9. Ethical IssuesEthical motives issues are to the appropriate of the research ââ¬Ës behaviour in relation to the rights of those who become the topic of the research or are affected by it ( Golafshani, 2012 ) . Ethical concerns may be occurred at all phases of undertaking and all undertakings: When seeking entree During informations aggregation As informations are analyzed And when studies are written10. ResourcesAll the resources in this research are collected from: ââ¬â EASB library ââ¬â Singapore national library ââ¬â Wiley Online Library ââ¬â Internet. ââ¬â UWIC e-library ââ¬â Vietnam national library11. Table agendas12. DecisionPrimary instruction is the most of import job and it refers to the most hard occupation is to develop people, preparation of human resources for the future society. As society moves, airss major undertaking for instruction. Vietnam ââ¬Ës instruction should be ââ¬Å" sheding â⬠. Three old educational reforms are related to the political convulsion. This clip, Vietnam is pitching up to do the end that is going an industrialised state in 2020 and modern industry in 2050, progressively integrated into the universe. Perform two aims must foremost run into human development ends. A meaningful instruction is geared towards a better hereafter, more civilizable. Leader Ho Chi Minh reminded ââ¬Å" For the interest of 10 old ages to works trees, for the intent of hundred old ages to works people â⬠. The concerns of day-to-day instruction can be found present in all mass media plenty to see how of import issues. Lawyer Nguyen, V.T ( 2006 ) , packaged his all concerns in a sentence ââ¬Å" A bad physician killed a patient, a bad officer, will kill a squad, but a bad instructor will kill a coevals â⬠. Possibly so, the lifelong of people struggle to do money, in add-on to take care their lives, they frequently have the biggest desire that is the following coevals of kids and have more learning chances. Richest planet foreman Bill Gates has done, the less money people to make the same and destitute people besides would wish to make it.
